A Sweet All Things For Sale Review

All Things for Sale asked me to review their new Sakura Flower Doughnut Mold and their new Rabbit bunny chocolate mold. I love chocolate, baking and all things sweet and was so excited to try out both.

Sakura Flower Doughnut Mold:

I made mini donuts using THIS recipe from Baker Bettie and they were so good!
TIP: piping the dough into the mini donut mold is easiest. Simply fill a Ziploc bag with the dough cut a small opening in a corner and pipe the dough into the mold! That way it is easier to fill the mold only half way.

I love how they came out! Dipped in a little butter and cinnamon sugar. They were a delicious and beautiful afternoon snack!

Of course, I had to make some chocolate glazed ones as well and they were just as beautiful!

The review:
  • great quality
  • easy to use
  • non stick
  • simply turn the mold over and the donuts just popped out.
  • very versatile: you could use this mold for a variety of yummy treats like donuts, mini cakes, baked pancakes, brownies, jello or whatever you can think of.

Rabbit Bunny Chocolate Mold:

This mold is so cute and there are so many decoration possibilities!

I ended up making caramel, dark chocolate and white chocolate bunnies with frozen yogurt (pink), chocolate and caramel accents:

They came out beautiful and were easy to pop out of the mold with the cute faces imprinted!

We used our bunnies as ice cream decorations but these would also be cute for lunchboxes with frozen yogurt, frozen guacamole or hummus!

The Review:
  • great quality
  • easy to use
  • non stick
  • simply turn the mold over and the chocolate bunnies just popped out.
  • very versatile: you could use this mold for a variety of yummy treats like frozen yogurt, ice cubes, frozen guacamole or frozen hummus
Overall: I have used both molds several times already and love the quality and ease of use! They are so easy to fill and the donuts and bunnies were easy to remove from the mold as well. No matter what you make with them ~ the treats always come out great!

The molds are available at All Things For Sale:

BRAT Banana Lunch

We are much better today but will stick to BRAT for lunch.

You already know the drill: Bananas, Rice (reserved for dinner), Applesauce and Toast.

We packed our PlanetBox Shuttle with a fun Lunchbox Love Card:
  • frozen apple shaped applesauce cubes ( I found the silicone ice tray at Target)
  • mini toast crackers
  • a happy banana with a hand drawn face
  • banana sauce and - you guessed it -
  • toast cubes
If you cannot change the food you may as well change the texture! Banana sauce instead of a whole banana ( I just used a fork and a drop of lemon juice) or frozen apple sauce in shapes or cubes instead of a sauce.

Thankfully we are adding other foods to the diet since yesterday and will hopefully be starting with veggies and fruit again tomorrow.

One of my kids has come down with a nasty stomach bug and feels quite bad :/ So what better way to cheer him up then with a cute lunch!

We packed our PlanetBox Shuttle with:
  • A Squooshi Panda filled with applesauce
  • banana slices packed in a silicone cup with panda picks and

Back to School Thermos Review

Did you know that Thermos is celebrating 60 years of licensed lunch kits? The first ever licensed thermos lunch kit was the Roy Rogers Lunch Box! In celebration, Thermos released several new licensed lunch kit which are now available at Target, Walmart and Toys R Us!

Thermos sent us their Superman Man of Steel lunchbox and Superman hydration bottle so we could be part of 60 years of licensed lunch kits! Needless to say my kids were ecstatic!

The lunch kit is soft and...well...super cool! My boys cannot wait to use it! It is as always insulated and has a padded handle. It is durable, easy to clean and made out of 100% PVC free PEVA lining!

The 12 oz hydration bottle is BPA-free, impact resistant (which Mom wouldn't love that?), and dishwasher proof! It has a leak-proof lid with straw, is ergonomically shaped and has a flip up carrying loop which comes in handy when you are toting more then one or have kids that love attaching everything to their backpack (like mine;).

Our sandwich box and hydration bottle fit perfectly inside the lunch kit with extra room for an ice pack and Lunchbox Love Card (how perfect is this one?).

We packed our Superman Man of Steel lunch kit with:
  • a cheese sandwich with Superman tomato and cheese logo,
  • rice crackers,
  • grapes and
  • a few honey cookies.
Our hydration bottle is filled with ice water.

Here the lunch kit is pictured with an EasyLunchbox.

Overall, this is a great lunch kit! I really love how easy the lunch kit is to clean and that the hydration bottle is both dishwasher safe and impact resistant! A must when you have boys! Plus, if I know that they love their lunchbox I know they will take care of it and it will last us all school year and longer!

Hope you have a super day!

yubo TALL Review & Giveaway

Have you met the new TALL yubo yet? We love the idea of carrying the yubo this way. The new TALL faceplates are fun and make the lunchbox a lot more versatile ...

- especially for those of us whose kids have narrow lockers at school!

Yubo sent us this adorable personalized yubo with the new TALL style. Yubo added my son's name to the lunchbox (Thank you!) but because I don't share my kids' names on the internet I removed the name in Photoshop. You can see examples of the fonts HERE or at the end of the post.

My soon-to-be second grader says he likes carrying his yubo upright better. He finds it more comfortable!

Our verdict: We love the new TALL yubo!

We love the new colors! And as always your deluxe yubo comes with one large and two small round containers for lots of fun lunch ideas. All containers are leak proof and the whole lunchbox is dishwasher safe! Just remove the faceplates, wipe them down and put all other pieces in the dishwasher. Easy clean up!

This eco-friendly lunchbox is fun, can grow with your child since you can order new faceplates starting at $6.95, and the interchangable faceplates even let you share the lunchbox between siblings. We have two yubos in neutral colors but three sets of faceplates so everyone can have their own style. That makes this lunchbox so attractive to me. Everyone can take their "own" lunchbox to school without me having to buy four different yubos!

This is everything you get:
  • the lunchbox
  • two lunchbox lids
  • two faceplates (one for the front and one for the back)
  • one large leakproof container
  • two small round leakproof containers
  • one large ice pack

But back to the lunch! We packed a lunch to match:
  • A firetruck sandwich made out of whole wheat bread, cream cheese, red pepper with nori and cheese accents,
  • a Z bar road for the fire truck to drive on,
  • Dalmation yogurt made with mini chocolate chips and vanilla yogurt and
  • Red and yellow pepper "fire."

I love the new sleek looking grey yubo and really who wouldn't want to dig into a lunch like that?

I used the Lunch Punch truck cutter to cut the sandwich and red pepper and in no time we had a fire truck sandwich racing to extinguish the fire!

The new TALL designs are adorable! Check out all the new yubo colors and TALL designs here:

Love these new styles? Yubo agreed to send one of my readers a personalized yubo of their choice! Which one will you pick?
