Muffin Tin Lunch

We are again out and about today so an early lunch is packed in our Innobaby Din Din platter with lid.

We packed no bake energy bites, strawberries, apples, two jelly sandwiches and some carrots with ranch dip.

And thanks to the lid we can bring our early lunch with us if we are running late :)
[Review to come - stay tuned]

There is a Monster in my Lunch!

Mondays are never easy in our house and it is hard to let go of the weekend fun and go back to school. A little fun is always appreciated when it comes to making Mondays a little cheerier.
My friend Karen from What's In Our Lunch Bags recently sent us this adorable lunch system (thank you, Karen!) and today was perfect for a monster lunch!

My first grader picked his monster and I filled it with apples and yellow peppers divided by wax paper, a cereal bar, half a cream cheese bagel and some organic popcorn and a left over brownie from yesterday. He also packed a yogurt and some ice water.

Who wouldn't like to find a monster in their lunch?

Happy Monday!

Lunch Munch

We were gone Monday and Tuesday to visit with family but this morning we are back and packing lunches, snacks and a second breakfast!

Also, this is the last day to enter my Lunchbox Love Giveaway! Don't miss it!

We packed popcorn, apples and a puzzle peanut butter sandwich for lunch. They also brought yogurt and ice water and today I also added a Lunchbox Love Card! Yay for left handed Polar bears :)

Lunch #2 also has popcorn, apples, yogurt and ice water but for my oldest I packed a nitrate free ham and salad sandwich. He also has a Lunchbox Love Card which gives a whole new meaning to the mini van ;)

We are so excited that our yumboxes came and packed our first lunch in it today. I packed my first grader some of the new Chobani Champions tubes, apple bunnies, Naturebox cinnamon almonds, two mini chocolate chip cookies, two bear peanut butter and honey sandwiches, carrots and a few chocolate chips. He also has ice water and of course a Lunchbox Love card. Well, and now we know that we will never see a crocodile sticking it's tongue out at us, lol!

Since we have to catch up on some things and run errands I also packed my 3 year old a yumbox with a second snack breakfast. She has cheese, apples, carrots, Naturebox cranberry almond bites and some nitrate free ham.

My oldest also needed a snack today so we packed apple bunnies, a cereal bar and Naturebox cashew power clusters in our Lunchbot Trio.

Have a great day!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

If you still need a quick and easy lunch idea for your kids why not try to make a pizza pocket Turkey! I made those for my kids and they loved choosing their own filling. Also a great idea for Thanksgiving left overs! Just fill with turkey, cranberries and stuffing, yum!

I packed our EasyLunchboxes with apples slices and grapes for lunch and made pizza pocket turkeys. I followed my earlier tutorial but instead of rectangular pockets I used a circle cookie cutter and made 8 large circles. I filled one circle with the desired toppings (1 tablespoon pizza sauce, turkey pepperoni and cheese for example) and pressed the second circle gently on top and used a fork to seal the two together. I used two cans of dough for five large pizza pockets and five turkey neck breadsticks and still had some left overs for a few mini breadsticks.

They needed about 15 min at 350 degrees to bake.

In the meantime I cut eyes and wattles out of pepperoni and then stuck them to the hot breadsticks.

Did you like this lunch? Then please visit BentoforKidlet for another cute turkey pocket lunch idea:

Happy Thanksgiving!

Simple Lunches

The first day back to school after Daylight Savings is always a little harder since my kids need time to adjust. Two of my kids were up very early and two slept in - so lunch today was very simple.

CuteZCute Sunbutter and Jelly sandwiches, popcorn chips, applesauce and a granola bar.

Two Sunbutter and Jelly CuteZCute frog sandwiches, popcorn chips and a few mini peppers.
I also packed water and a yogurt.

Applesauce, more popcorn chips, a few dye-free chocolate Animal crackers, a CuteZCute frog fairy bread and apples in our Goodbyn.

I also packed a snack for my 5th Grader in our LunchBot Trio: trail mix, Somersault Salty Pepper crackers and apple bunnies. I found a great tutorial on how to make apple bunnies HERE.

Pardon my Light - there is a storm coming...

So there is a storm in the air - literally. While preparing and hoping it will not hit too hard we still have eat - so we are packing lunches even though schools are closed :) However, it was omnious and dark this morning - so please pardon the picture quality. Last year, we had no power for 11 days. Let's hope that will not happen this year >.<

Lunch was simple but still in the spirit of Halloween today. Chocolate spread bat sandwiches with little liquorice bats, a cereal bar and apples as well as honey crackers and an Italian cookie, Goldfish crackers and a chocolate spread Pumpkin.

I also used our new lunchboxes today but due to the poor lighting I will do my review next week :)
Packed in our Go Green Lunchbox are cheese and crackers, Chobani Champions Banana Honey yogurt, a pretzel roll with cold cuts, a cereal bar and apples and red oranges.

Boo!

Pumpkin Lunches

My kids asked for pumpkins in their lunches today and here they are:

.

I packed our yubo with a chocolate spread sandwich pumpkin, Chobani vanilla yogurt with a frozen peach yogurt pumpkin and some pistachios. I don't have a pumpkin face cutter so I just cut the shape with a vegetable knife and added a leaf :)

For this lunch I cut up some apples and carved one of the bigger pieces into a pumpkin, also packed a cheese crackers with a Mummy pop up and another chocolate spread pumpkin sandwich. This pumpkin did not come out quite as good as the first one o-O

Fast Food

This morning I decide to make use of some of the other lunchboxes we own  because I forgot to run the dishwasher last night because it is fun to mix things up from time to time!

We own several of these neat Sistema containers!

For my oldest son I packed a BLT sandwich inspired by KeeleyMcGuire's lunch on Monday, a mini pepper, veggie sticks, a small container with Sunflower seed crackers, 1/2 apple and as a treat two Spanish cookies with marshmallows.

For my second grader I packed a fish shaped sandwich with cold cuts and salad, oranges, strawberries, Italian cookies and Spanish cookies.

And since my First Grader just got a new lunchbox from his Grandparents in Germany we of course used that one today, too!

He packed apples, oranges and strawberries as well as no bake energy bites, a few Spanish treats and a chocolate spread roll.

Now, if only it stopped raining...

Happy Hump Day!
