BLT Lunch

This is the first week of summer vacation but I never got to post these last lunches of the school year. We had BLTs for dinner last week and since we had left overs (I know hard to believe there could be :) the kids wanted BLTs for school as well:

We packed our Easylunchboxes with a few pitted cherries, a corn muffin and three Goldfish crackers and a toasted whole wheat turkey bacon BLT. They also had yogurt and ice water. 

Muffin Tin Monday

Today's theme for Muffin Tin Monday is Nursery Rhymes.
We read about Little Bo-Peep today so I made my daughter a matching MTM:

• Little Bo-Peep corn muffin with her hat and walking stick
• a silly sheep hiding in Pirate Booty
• Little Bo-Peep looking for her sheep in our left over chicken tenders
• one sheep hiding in the grape tulips
• one sheep hiding in celery and carrot flowers and
• one sheep hiding in the vanilla yogurt pond

Little Bo-Peep has lost her sheep,

And can't tell where to find them;

Leave them alone, And they'll come home,

Wagging their tails behind them.

Today feels like Spring

It felt like spring was in the air this morning and the sun seemed to have gained in strength. I was so in the mood for a summer picnic lunch.

So we packed banana and strawberry picks, chocolate chip Goldfish, a healthy muffin with banana, applesauce and chocolate chips  with a blueberry on top held by a pick and a star shaped Nutella sandwich. Ok, I admit. I was in the mood for chocolate, too :)

Leap Day Snack

My kids like leap days and because I watched the episode of 30 Rock the other day in which they made up Leap Day William and a whole tradition on how to celebrate - I could not resist to make a Leap Day Snack :)

In the "traditional" colors of yellow and blue, there is a yellow corn muffin with a flower pick and an inside out silicone muffin cup with blueberries and bee picks :)
