Muffin Tin Monday - Dinosaurs

Today's Muffin Tin Monday theme is DINOSAURS and I immediately thought of my kids favorite song from the Laurie Berkner Band "We are the Dinosaurs." So today's lunch is all about dinosaurs and packed with help from my 4 year old:

We packed a Muffin Tin with:

• cucumber slices with the letter D for Dinosaurs
• a hatching "dinosaur" egg
• edamame "grass" with a flower spoon for the dinosaurs to stomp on
• blueberry yogurt with a dinosaur pick
• dinosaur fossil peanut butter sandwiches
• and dinosaur berries (grapes) - the dinosaurs favorite food according to my daughter :)

Muffin Tin Monday

Today's Muffin Tin Monday theme is summer! Sand, sun and the beach is what I first thought of:

Our Muffin Tin is filled with:

• a home made Almond Streusel Banana Bread beach
• a chocolate spread sun
• a wild blueberry ocean 
• kiwi fruit
• a yogurt butterfly decorated with apple and chocolate chips and 
• strawberries

This weeks theme for Muffin Tin Monday is The Perfect Picnic. With all the thunderstorms and rain showers we had lately we have not been able to have a real picnic outside yet, so we enjoyed the MTM picnic that much more!

Our Perfect Picnic Muffin Tin is packed with:

• chicken nuggets
• Beachball and Fish shaped Goldfish crackers
• grape, strawberry, apple and mandarin fruit salad
• watermelon balls
• blueberry yogurt
• and popcorn

We served ice cold milk with this Perfect Picnic lunch and added a cute ant napkin and fun bento utensils ;)

Today's theme for Muffin Tin Monday is Nursery Rhymes.
We read about Little Bo-Peep today so I made my daughter a matching MTM:

• Little Bo-Peep corn muffin with her hat and walking stick
• a silly sheep hiding in Pirate Booty
• Little Bo-Peep looking for her sheep in our left over chicken tenders
• one sheep hiding in the grape tulips
• one sheep hiding in celery and carrot flowers and
• one sheep hiding in the vanilla yogurt pond

Little Bo-Peep has lost her sheep,

And can't tell where to find them;

Leave them alone, And they'll come home,

Wagging their tails behind them.

Muffin Tin Monday

Today's Muffin Tin Monday theme is Classic TV & Cartoons and the first movie I thought of was Mary Poppins. My kids love the Julie Andrew's version and since we are all home sick they all helped make today's Muffin Tin:

• "A Spoonfull of sugar makes the medicine go down..." fruit snacks
• Mary Poppins' hat on Strawberry yogurt
• Jane and Michael tucked into a cucumber and carrot bed
• Musical notes tomatoes for all the great music in the movie
• Mary Poppins' purse peanut butter sandwich with fruit leather detail
• and of course her umbrella which is an apple with fruit leather

Happy Earth Day!

We had a yummy Earth Day themed muffin tin lunch today:

• two loving peanut butter monsters who love our earth
• red tomatoes symbolizing our love for the earth
• a wild blueberry and green grape earth
• cheese trees with carrot flowers
• a vanilla yogurt with a dye-free fruit leather heart and
• butterfly crackers
