Batman vs. Superman - Breakfast Cereals

We love breakfast at our house - especially cereal. And we LOVE Super Heros. Especially Superman and Batman! We are so excited for the release of the movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on March 25th! General Mills has released to new cereals to get you excited about the new movie:
Batman™ Chocolate Strawberry and Superman™ Caramel Crunch!
Scroll to the end of my post to grab a $1 coupon for each of the new cereals!

Both cereals are free of:
• Artificial colors
• Artificial flavors
• High fructose corn syrup

They do have:
• Only 9 grams of sugar per serving
• A good source of Calcium and Vitamin D
• 12g of whole grain per serving
• Glossy, embossed emblem - which is really cool!

Both cereals have passed our taste test and I may just be eating some out of the box while the kids are in school! They are so good! I prefer the warm caramel taste of the Superman™ Caramel Crunch cereal while my kids prefer the fruitiness of the Batman™ Chocolate Strawberry.

Who are you routing for? Batman or Superman?

Specially marked General Mills Cereals will feature 1 out of 4 collectible, custom comic books in celebration of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The comic books are not available in the new Superman™ Caramel Crunch or Batman™ Chocolate Strawberry cereals.

Punk Skunks - a Literary Lunch

This lunch is also posted over at The Little Crooked Cottage as a Literary Lunch. Head over to the fabulous blog of four children's book authors and check out the wonderful Literary Interviews with Mr. Pig himself!

Kit and Buzz are BSFs—Best Skunks Forever.

Every day they rock out together. But when Kit wants to sing a song about skating and Buzz wants to sing a song about painting, the BSFs get into a HUGE fight!

They try to hum, drum, and strum on their own, but it's all wrong.

Is their friendship strong enough to survive this fight? Find out in this new beautiful illustrated kids book PUNK SKUNKS written by Trisha Speed Shaskan and illustrated by Stephen Shaskan.

Snappsy the Alligator (did not ask to be in this book!) - Literary Lunch

This lunch is also posted over at The Little Crooked Cottage as a Literary Lunch. Head over to the fabulous blog of four children's book authors and check out the wonderful Literary Interviews with Mr. Pig himself!

What would you do if on a very normal, ordinary day a pesky narrator appeared. Trying to make everything you do sound mysterious? Would you change your plans? You know, throw a party?

Find out in SNAPPSY THE ALLIGATOR (DID NOT ASK TO BE IN THIS BOOK!) written by Julie Falatko and illustrated by Tim Miller. A fun story about storytelling, friendship and irreverent differences.

We made a party lunch (and we are hoping to be invited to Snappsy's party...) filled with:
  • fried rice (every lunch needs a back story)
  • grape tomato party ballons (hint, hint)
  • and a cheese, tomato and cucumber Snappsy part host

To see what happens when the narrator shows up at the party and if Snappsy ever liked being in the book, buy the book or get it at your local library! It is one of our favorites!
